Welcome to week one of the 10 by 10 challenge!
This weeks focus is on goals for the month of January!
I know at this time of year people are thinking resolutions but through my own experience and trial and error I have come to the conclusion that small, achievable goals that you build upon every month does way more for success then large, long term goals. You can still have these long term goals/resolutions, but the monthly goals are meant to help define the steps you will be taking every day to get to the long term goals.
I hope that makes sense.
So here is how I suggest looking at defining your own goals for January 2017.
Clear to you exactly what you will be doing over the next 30 days
Define how many times per day, week, month you will be achieving each goal
How will you know when you are successful
Know if the goal is obtainable
Make sure you have the resources, knowledge and time to complete
Enough time to achieve the goals
Here are my goals for January 2017
I made 7 goals which is kind of a lot but I have been working on most of these goals for a few months now and tweaking them every month.
Goal 1. I started 3 months ago with 20 blue dots and have increased by one every time I was successful. Goal 2. I decreased my walks because I was unsuccessful last month doing 5x a week. Goal 3. I kept the same as last month because I was successful and wanted to continue this. Goal 4. I added in a home practice to increase my skills and the impacts of this calming activity on my mind and mood. Goal 5. I’ve been doing this goal for a few months now and will continue. Goal 6. this is a brand new goal for me and finally goal 7. probably not my most measurable goal but I want to learn how to use my pot better. I may add on a way to measure my success with this goal after.
